To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we're delighted to welcome 3 international artists for colourful Indian dance workshops. Come and dance with Amine Amoura, Swapnil Dagliya and Vinatha Sreeramkumar!
One Sunday a month in February, March and April, you'll be treated to an exceptional workshop. It's the perfect way to get a taste of the diversity of Indian dance!
Difficult to choose? Try them all! A 'combo' price is available if you sign up directly for the 4 workshops: €115 for almost 9 hours of classes (instead of €150 full price or €125 reduced price).
All the workshops take place at the Poseidon, 'Studio' room, Woluwé-St-Lambert (2 Avenue des Vaillants, map here, metro 1 stop Tomberg. There are also parking spaces in the vicinity if you have a blue disc).
21 avril : Kuthu et Bollywood urban avec Vinatha Sreeramkumar
About Vinatha
Vinatha Sreeramkumar hails from Chennai (South India) and is a professional dancer and choreographer of Bollywood, Kuthu and Bharatanatyam (South Indian classical dance). She is the founder and director of a dance company and Espacio India, an Indian dance and yoga school in Madrid. She has taken part in several major dance festivals in India and Spain and has launched her own theatre production. She is also a professor of biomedical sciences. She launched Bollynaline, a wellness programme based on Bollywood dance that uses various biological reasons to motivate people to start dancing as a social and professional alternative.
Kuthu workshop
The workshop
Dappankuthu (or simply Kuthu, literally "drum punch") is a traditional Indian art form that has gained popularity around the world thanks to its infectious energy and rhythm. Originating from the southern state of Tamil Nadu, this dance form combines energetic movements with vibrant music, creating a unique style!
The workshop will begin with an introduction to the history of Kuthu. Then dance, dance and dance. A bundle of energy! Finally, there will be time at the end to make videos and keep a great souvenir of this workshop :-)

Bollywood Urban workshop
The workshop
Bolly Urban or Urban Bollywood is a fusion between the colorful dance of Bollywood and the groovy world of Hip-hop. All set to Indian street music.

Amine Amoura's Bolly Blast is all about dynamite, energy and fun set to rhythms from North and South India!
About Amine
Amine is a content creator, Bollywood and Kollywood choreographer and one of the founders of the Digital Dance Collective, a collective of choreographers who have been teaching online since the beginning of the pandemic. He has worked with dance schools in over 10 countries on 3 continents. Based in Paris, he has won numerous competitions at various European festivals. He also took part in the Incroyable Talent Final in Greece in 2022 with the 1st Bollywood Academy Greece troupe.

24 mars : Folk fusion avec Swapnil Dagliya
Folk fusion is a skilful blend of Rajasthani folk dances with others such as Garba or Bhangra, Swapnil's speciality. Dive into this kaleidoscope of Indian culture on the theme of the Holi festival.
The workshop will begin with exercises aimed at understanding and refining the techniques of various Indian folk dances. These movements will then be gently woven into a fun and energetic Holi choreography, with a Bollywood twist ;-)
About Swapnil
Swapnil grew up in Pune near Mumbai. A graduate in contemporary dance from the Broadway Dance Center in New York, he went on to perfect his skills at the Opus Ballet in Italy. Passionate about Bhangra, he obtained a diploma in Indian folk dances. Now based in Ghent, he co-founded the Shoonya Dance Center, where he is Artistic Director, and launched the Indian dance company ABC a Bollywood Company. Committed to the development of his students, he places great emphasis on continuous learning and training, constantly improving his own skills and teaching abilities.
